Your Infinite Blue

I stare into your eyes
Your infinite blue
Sweeps me off my feet
And drags me down an ocean current
A rip tide
My ankles are tied
I can't let go.

Time takes over
Every moment is precious
Every moment is ours
I fall fast
Hard
I'm being dragged
Dragged deep
Deeper
I'm drowning
I gasp for air
There's no one there
But your infinite blue.

You built me a shelter
Using nothing but the bare skin of your palms
I felt safe
You hid me away
Away from my life
Away from the struggles
Away from the pain
Away from the storm
Away from the rain
I was for the first time
The happiest I'd ever been
Until I stared deeper
Into your infinite blue.

By now we are committed
Things are spiraling down
Down the rabbit hole we fall
Together holding
Grasping on to each other
For dear life
But somehow we make it through
And suddenly
We're brought back into reality
And things are different
They have changed
Things aren't what they appear
In your infinite blue.

And now you're gone
And I'm alone
I want us more than ever
But us doesn't mean forever
If you only knew
What I would do
To be dragged back through
Your infinite blue.
